A border fence on Israel’s southern border with Egypt (2011-2013)

The project known as the “Sand Clock”. Moseroth is one of the major constructors who took part in this huge project by developing a new patent “Kipod” which is a robust welded razor mesh that serves as a main component of the fence. The project took 3 years and it considered as the largest border projects in Israel’s history. The fence is between five and seven meters high and demanded 35,000 tons of metal and steel. The fence equipped with advanced surveillance sensors to keep out from terror groups, drug smugglers and illegal migrants from infiltrating Israeli territory. Construction of the main section of the border fence was completed in January 2013.Several countries, including the United States and India, have sent delegations to Israel to study border security and the various technologies used by the IDF to secure Israel’s borders, including the Israel–Egypt border. Some of these countries implemented these technologies as part of their own border fences.
